    Jason played at Rocklin High School.  The Cincinnati Reds drafted Jason in the 47th round in 2009 as a pitcher from Rocklin High School.  Hampton decided to continue his career at Sacramento State where he pitched and also saw time at 1B/DH.  In the winter of 2013, Hampton graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in organizational communications.

    Coaching Experience:

    Yuba College:  Jason begins his 2nd season in 2019 at Yuba College as Pitching Coach.

    Bemidji State:   In 2016 Hampton took over as Assistant and Recruiting Coordinator at Bemidji State University (Minnesota).

    Golden State Collegiate Baseball League:   Hampton served as Pitching Coach for the Sacramento Heat in 2016.

    Northern State University:  Jason spent the 2015 and 2016 season at Northern State University as a graduate assistant.  Hampton helped guide NSU to the NSIC Tournament in both seasons.  In May of 2016 Hampton graduated from NSU with his Master’s degree in Sports Performance and Leadership.

    Northwoods League:  In 2014 Hampton served as Pitching Coach for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, a member of the prestigious Northwoods League.  Hampton helped guide the Woodchucks to the 2014 NWL playoffs.

    Sacramento State:  Jason began his college coaching career at his alma mater Sacramento State University as Director of Baseball Operations in 2014.  During the 2014 season the Hornets won the Western Athletic Conference and played in the NCAA tournament.
